Job Description:

Paul Davis Restoration of Los Angeles Downtown and Hollywood is actively seeking a highly skilled and adaptable General Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our reconstruction crew, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, including painting, labor, basic plumbing, handyman services, basic electrical work, flooring, and more. Your expertise will play a vital role in the restoration of properties following water mitigation processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Painting: Execute painting tasks with precision, including surface preparation, paint selection, and achieving a flawless finish to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
  • Labor Assistance: Provide hands-on support for reconstruction projects, involving lifting, moving, and organizing materials. Assist with the setup and breakdown of work areas.
  • Basic Plumbing: Address basic plumbing issues, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems.
  • Handyman Skills: Perform a variety of handyman tasks, including carpentry, drywall repair, and other general maintenance duties to uphold the structural integrity of reconstructed properties.
  • Basic Electrical Work: Conduct simple electrical repairs and installations, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant codes.
  • Flooring: Install, repair, or replace various types of flooring materials, including tiles, hardwood, and carpet, to contribute to the overall restoration process.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment essential for maintenance and reconstruction tasks.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and compliance of work with company and industry standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including restoration technicians, project managers, and contractors, to facilitate a smooth workflow and successful project completion.
Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in painting, labor, basic plumbing, handyman services, basic electrical work, and flooring.
2. Knowledge of construction and restoration processes.
3. Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and manual labor.
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the restoration or construction industry is preferred.
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
